Welcome to BabyDagny.com, your destination for just cool baby stuff! The kind of goods you can’t find anywhere else, we dare you to try! Baby Dagny was born after our founder, Andrea McGinty embarked on an endless search for unique and stylish baby products for her little baby Dagny.

Andrea quickly realized that most retailers carried products that all seemed the same. Aha! One late night, pregnant and sleepless, she found a great product in The Netherlands that was not sold anywhere in the US. A business idea was hatched! Then she found that many great products were only being sold in small shops scattered around the world, being designed and manufactured by parents who found voids when they had children.

Frustrated by searching and buying from dozens and dozens of retailers (and paying big freight costs to ship to the US), Andrea realized a need in the baby market. What mothers needed was one place they could rely on for really unique, really original and really stylish baby products and gifts. Not to mention high quality!

The Team Behind Baby Dagny

Andrea McGinty, Founder and CEO
Baby Dagny, was founded in 2005 by Andrea McGinty, some of you may recognize her name as being the founder of an international dating service called It’s Just Lunch! Andrea spent 15 years growing the company from one single office in Chicago to now more than 100 locations worldwide. She retired from It’s Just Lunch 2 years ago and has since sold the company.

While Andrea was pregnant with her daughter Dagny she realized a niche in the market that had not been filled: a retailer of unique, stylish and high-quality baby products and gifts. Andrea applied her entrepreneurial skills and founded Baby Dagny, the premier retailer of just cool baby stuff!

If Andrea learned anything from her years as a business owner, she learned that what really makes a company successful and fun to work for is the people you surround yourself with. She quickly approached a few people she loved working with in the past with the idea. And as she expected they were just as excited about Baby Dagny as she was. And so we’d like to introduce you to the rest of the Baby Dagny Team.
